My Rapido Penn Central scheme RDC arrived yesterday to join my Amtrak car. A nice touch is the simulated ghost NEW HAVEN on the car's letterboard. To me, the colored end stripes appear more on the brownish side rather than the prototype's reddish/orange. I was planning to replace the Penn Central logos with Amtrak ones and renumber it appropriately. I think the sound is great on these.

Agree that the stripe color is a bit dull, but I do like the NH ghost. Eagerly awaiting my delivery. 

That ghosted lettering is awesome though!  Well done, Rapido!

My NYC M454 arrived yesterdaqy (21 Feb).  Found that car operates AND sounds much better with CV29 = 50 instead of the default value of 38.  I still need to optimize CV 67-94.

Do any of the PC units show ghost "New York Central" lettering?  Seems that would make a dynamite pair with an ex-NH.

One other point on the Rapido RDC's.  As long as there is track power, the interior lights will stay on.  There is no decoder function to turn the interior lights off.
