Looks great!  Do you have any pictures of the prototype that you can share?

Thanks,

Nicely done! Where did you locate the parts or did you build those from scratch also? i.e. windows, steps, cupola etc

Would that be a drover's caboose?

Where the personnel attending to the livestock (aka cowboy's) went along with the herd (aka cows) to the new destination, not being the slaughterhouse but another field or Ranch. If so the train would include a number of livestock cars and would be subject to the rules about livestock rest and watering (the cows not the cowboys).

Drovers Caboose

But then again SSW had a very similar 'long caboose' which is reported to be for regular passengers in mixed train service, Apparently one is being restored:

But wait, there's more. Google found the KATY Historical site, they say 10 were built but call them drover type caboose:

"Built to handle mail, baggage and passengers on the Katy's branch lines in Texas, they seated 18 passengers."

Maybe 'combination' is the best description after all. Nice work on the scratchbuild.

Thanks a lot for this.  That sure is a bizarre design, with the cupola all the way on the end like that.

Well done,

SSW had similar cars with the cupola at the very end, due to the door location. This car looks like it was rebuilt from a 50' outside braced box car.
