Model Railroading > APU LightsDate: 03/28/17 11:45 APU Lights Author: djh4d Hey everybody, I've noticed that many CSX locomotives have lights on the engineer side of the long hood. I was told this is a strobe light that lights up when the motor shuts down and the APU is running. It's located on the upper right corner of the radiator screens on 6032. Does anybody make that part? If not, has anybody made it from scratch? A couple of pieces of styrene would work for the base. What would work for the strobe?
Thanks in advance, -Dave Date: 03/28/17 13:04 Re: APU Lights Author: ghemr I used an L shaped piece of styrene and an old amber beacon (manufacturer unknown) to simulate this. I also added a piece of wire that leads into the hood......
