Model Railroading > Finally used the Turtle Creek Central decalsDate: 01/15/05 20:12 Finally used the Turtle Creek Central decals Author: mayor79 Just thought I'd share some photos I took of a boxcar that I painted up for the Turtle Creek Central.....since I finally put those free decals in MR to use. Not the best photos since I'm still learning the features on the camera but they'll work.....

Turtle Creek Central decals in MR. Cool, huh??? bnsf100 (More pixs. coming up) Date: 01/16/05 08:49 Re: Finally used the Turtle Creek Central decals Author: bnsf100 Sorry for the poor image quality, but I still haven't mastered the art of model railroad photography; However, I am pretty good at "real" railroad photography. Oh well!!!!

Please let me know if you would like to know what loco was used to make this "one-of-a-kind" engine. Thanks!!!

They didn't have frames; the trucks are self-contained power units and snapped directly into the shell.
Looks like Dad did a little judicious chopping. Date: 01/16/05 09:48 Re: Finally used the Turtle Creek Central decals Author: bnsf100 Vunderbob:
You nailed what type of locomotive my dad's TCC is. Good job!!! Dad was looking for a project to keep him busy last year; So, when the Turtle Creek Decals came out in MR, he decided that he wanted a short-line locomotive to go with them. Therefore, you have TTC #5628!!!!! bnsf100 Date: 01/16/05 13:52 Re: Finally used the Turtle Creek Central decals Author: VunderBob I have a Mantua GP-20 marked for NYC that is just about as old as I am (43). It was an easy spot for me...

You may have to put the camera on a tripod, and make it a longer exposure, but if you don't have a remote cable, try using the timer.
