This looks good, someone actually woke up and realized that when you have a person trapped for several days they need and usually want decent food. By the way Medrock, how was the food with the new menus?

By your comments, chips and salsa are extra for sleeping car passengers at lurch and shrimp cocktail at dinner. I can see the shrimp, but please, chips and salsa.

Are the chicken wings the same ones they had on many of the Cafe Cars and 33000 series Lounge Cars? If so. Im glad they brought that back. I like the chickens wings.

Are they still using the plastic throw away plates?

Sounds good but I mourn the loss of the roast chicken. That was awesome.

Yes, the plastic throw away is still being used as they still don't have a dishwaher.

The dishwasher is still there, but there is no employee to operate the dishwasher.

A buddy is on-board an Amtrak train right now and sent me some pics from dinner. The salad bowls are now "wood grain" in appearance (but still disposable), but the salad looks good! Not just iceberg lettuce, but Romaine with some other goodies thrown in it looked like. Cooked-to-order steaks apparently are very good as well. Dessert was ice cream or a chocolate-raspberry tort. Looks like they're doing an outstanding job with the new food service!

The dishwasher was the person who used to do it what I was refering too not the machine! Happy Holiday's Andy!

How about this for breakfast:

Pancakes with chicken-apple sausage!

Lunch is turkey and gravy over a biscuit, tortilla salad, and tuna on honey wheat bread.

Yes, this is on Amtrak. On a train running TODAY. Incredible (in a good way)!

Does this mean the regular dining is actually gonna make a comeback? If so great!
