Hey, us left-coasters get Drake Bell !!! Yes, that's right---the one and only Drake Bell !!!!!!!!

If you're wondering who the heck he is, I was too.....so I looked him up. Oh boy, a teeny bopper from Hannah Montana. Meanwhile, Chicago gets this:

"Free Concert by World Classic Rockers (featuring former members of Santana, Journey, Steppenwolf, Toto & Lynyrd Skynyrd)"

Hmmmm.....I think Chicago gets the better deal.

If you go to the home page of Amtrak, there is a link to National Train Day. The entire lineup of events for each big city is listed on that page.

Amtrak started this with 4 stations. Advocates have come forward to do something at many other stations. Without pay, at their own expense etc. Good chance to say something good about trains.
Was in Chicago Union Station evening 5/7. Crowded. can not imagine the sell outs this summer. 35 years of neglect in Washington leavs Amtrak ill prepared. reserve early!! Lobby your elected reps. They work for you.

Everyone who takes the Coast Starlight on this day doesn't get to do any of the National Train Day Stuff in Los Angeles as it all starts 30 minutes after we leave! This was suppose to be the relauch day of the Coast Starlight.

he is not from hannah montana. he is on the show called drake and josh on nickelodeon. hannah montana is on the disney channel.

Eh....whatever....all the same to me. I would have thought that Tinseltown could attract a bigger name than a kid from Nickelodeon.

I have a 13 yr old daughter and I love Drake and Josh. It is one of the better shows that she watches. :-)

You probably won't even have a Parlour Car.. LOL!

Ill be at LAUPT bright and early SAT morning to take in the festivities. Then, will rock out to Drake later on. Hey, my young Nickelodeon watching nephews will be with me so I kinda have too....

FYI . Drake Bell has also just starred in his first major movie called, Superhero Movie which kinda makes fun of ALL Superhero Movies. Kinda in the same style as Airplane!

I'm obviously out of the loop on this one! For all you Drake fans, the web page says that it's first-come/first-served on the free wristbands to see the concert. No admittance to the free concert without your wristband, so grab them as early as you can. Don't worry about saving one for me. :)

The Amtrak webpage for the New York event looks more like a publicity stunt for the Harlem Globetrotters.

Yea I thought that too. NYC looks to be the only major location not to have LIVE music. Probably no adequate space to put in a stage/band.

I was refering to equipment displays, not teen actors, I will even accept free food, but I guess Amtrak isn't serving any :(
Just give me a good reason to spend ten bucks and ride Metrostink down to LAUPT. PLEASE!!!
