Yesterday P030 had PV 118 on the rear, with a "Navy" drumhead ... anyone know what that is?

That car was on the end of #49 in September 2006 when I was riding out to Sandusky to go to Cedar Point that year. I was told shortly after the trip that the car was on some tour with the Department of Defense, that however was almost 2 years ago. It was built by Pullman in 1914 originally for the Union Pacific. It is owned by a private operator and for many years wore the name "Cleveland". That NAVY drumhead looked really nice all lit up at night though!

The car is based at Coopersville MI, on the Coopersville & Marne. The Grand Rapids Eastern shuttles it from there to Grand Rapids and is attached to AMT 370/371 between there and Chicago.

"....Built as UP Chair Car 741; renumbered to Chair Car 1210 in 1916; remodeled to Business Car 118 in January 1938; to BusinessCar 114 (2nd) in December 1951; to Business Car 120 (3rd) in April 1957; retired in June 1970; to Houston Allred (Wichita, Texas) in 1970. The dudes name that owns the car is Tyler Robbins. He lives in a Cleveland Ohio suburb. He was an officer in the Navy. He bought the car and completely refurbished it. He had the Navy neon drumhead made and the car when not in use usually lays over at the Amtrak Pittsburgh Pa train depot. This car used to lay over at the Amtrak Toledo Ohio depot for years.
