Just curious. I wonder if the move has anything to do with the future of Amtrak on Raton?

I suspect it had more to do with Matt Rose's appearance in Los Angeles a couple days ago to show off the BNSF's new natural gas locomotives to the Governor at the Commerce Locomotive facility, followed by a trip on four business cars down the Alameda Corridor. They are simply deadheading the four business cars home to Topeka (works out well using Amtrak since it goes right through Topeka anyway).

Thanks, I'll buy that. However, if the cars were occupied, I wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall.
