Anyone know what happened? 6 hours has to be some kind of record for "late out of the gate"!

I'm going to bet it's directly due to the storm which just flooded out the Surfliners in San Diego and is now doing the same in Arizona.

Yea, it was storm related. There were multiple mud slides / washouts on UP's Yuma Sub in the [u]Loma Linda / Bryn Mawr,CA[/u] area that had the tracks closed all day yesterday. There were also similar problems 40 miles to the East at [u]Whitewater[/u]. That's still being cleaned up, with only one track open.

As of 8:57AM MST Sunset Limited #2 is at Tucson AZ.
