Another light rail service that airline personnel find useful is the St. Louis line to the main airport. I noticed quite a few passengers in uniform with small rolling suitcases when I visited there in 2007. I could also mention that it's the safest and most reliable way to reach the aerodrome.
Reminds me of the jet captain who thanks the passengers for choosing his airline and reminds them: "Most of you are now about to start the most dangerous part of your flight: driving home or to your final destination. Remember, when you're driving, the seat belt light is always ON!"

chris/richard, i think its funny that you both have me beat in getting pictures of minneapolis' light rail in action and i live here and have ridden it from day one. i think i might have a picture of its mock up that was downtown for a while before they started service, but i am pretty sure that i don't have one in operation. shame on me. good pics.

dave, out

Hey Chris. I bet you wanted to be at the controls of that Light Rail Car. Right?
