Passenger Trains > #11 into emergency @ Rosamond

Amtrak #11 went into emergency around MP 395, a women was standing on the tracks, the crew reported she got out of the way at the very last minute. The crew called DS 54 who in turn called law enforcement. The women apparently left some belongings on the tracks and the crew will be handing them over to the authorities. The crew just reported that law enforcement has arrived. Talk about idiot of the day, the crew said she got into a vehichle and they were able to get a description. Hopefully they can pick this idiot up.

Sure it was an idiot and not a suicide attempt by train? Sometimes we want to call people idiots when they are really very troubled people.

Why, there ought to be a LAW!

There are a lot of oblivious people out there, including the one who got clipped by #11 on Dec 20 in Chatsworth, then there are the deeply troubled ones, like PoffCapt mentioned. I just wish they'd deal with their troubles in private, and not involve innocents.
