Passenger Trains > Empire Builder route now blocked at Harwood

BNSF’s Fargo-Grand Forks Hillsboro Subdivision, normally on the Empire Builder route, has been severed.
The city of Harwood ND (seven miles from Fargo) has built a dike across the tracks.

Are they mad at the railroad for not paying city business taxes, or are they worroed about an impending flood?

Normal procedure at Harwood. Railroad stands by with equipment at the ready waiting for instructions from the city to complete the dike across the tracks.

This section along with the Devils Lake sub in the Norwich area will be back in service tomorrow, 4/14, and Nos 7 and 8 will operate normal route.

amtrak is bussing folks from Seattle to white fish to day the 14th,and the 13th.does anybody know why,since theres no problem between whitefish and Seattle.
