According to KABC...Country music superstar Martina McBride took a train ride into Southern California.

McBride arrived at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, CA, Monday (October 10, 2011) morning. It's all part of her 11-city, four-day cross-country train tour, powered by Amtrak.

Even the train was dressed up for the occasion. McBride is promoting the release of her 11th studio album named "Eleven."

Two Superliner cars have large breast cancer awareness ribbons - car numbers?!?

I saw the train leave LAUPT about 720 am after the arrival of train number 3. Train looks nice wonder how much money it costs to run the choo choo all the way the NYC ?

Just arrived Flagstaff, AZ at 17:50 Pacific.

The Railfan & Railroad news page has a story on the Martina McBride special, including links to Amtrak's and Martina's Facebook pages, where updates and scheduled times will be posted, apparently on a daily basis.

I'm really confused. The Amtrak Facebook page says they arrived in ABQ at 12:38am this morning. She is supposed to play a concert there. Yet, the Kansas City media says the train will be town "later today."

Am I missing something or is the scheduling and/or press info really out of whack?

Maybe the Special parked overnight in ABQ? Martina's got to sleep sometime without all
of the rockin and rollin of train movement.
