Author: HoggerMatt I would like to send a farewell congratulations and happy retirement to brother engineer Bill Burket, Amtrak Oakland Crew Base. Bill made his last trip on train #5 from Reno to Oakland today ending a very good career with the Southern Pacific and Amtrak. Happy Retirement friend!

Leaving Davis WB, you can't see the train at all when you're in the engineer's seat because you're on the outside of the curve. Date: 01/30/12 23:38 Re: Farewell Bill Burket, Amtrak Oakland! Author: chakk I can recall having him on several of my trips on #5 and #6, listening to him take track warrants from the UP dispatcher.
