Are they going to be the really small cabs like San Diego's newest S70s, or the midrange ones. The new S.D. cabs I could barely get into or out of.

I wouldn't call RDC's "a couple of DMU's.......

They are classic self propelled passenger cars from the 1950's-60's....and heavy rail cars...
not like the new lightweight stuff, which I think pales in comparison..

You are lucky to see a pair of these running...there are very few left in running condition....

The SLC cars are the exact same order as the new (4000-series) S.D. cars. The 3000-series cars have the medium cab that is tolerable.

I'm not a huge transit fan but those are some great shots. I like the RDCs best.

But seriously...that's a hell of a character walking down the platform in the first shot.

^ X2, atleast we can assume the gender on that one.

Great shots of the MAX. I didn't know any of the red striped ones were still running, especially without ads! I can't believe I forgot what the classic MAX looked like of the last decade.

After 50-60 years the RDC's are still nice looking equipment.

RDC is the model name.....DMU is the type of equipment (like EMU). Has absolutely nothing to do with specific design.

Also, the modern DMU's (apart from NJTY's River Line and the like) are heavy-rail vehicles.....just like RDC's.

I love the guy on the platform in the first picture - red bow tie, leather jacket, shorts with purple frills and sneakers with no socks - Keep Portland Weird!
