They are classic self propelled passenger cars from the 1950's-60's....and heavy rail cars... not like the new lightweight stuff, which I think pales in comparison.. Great shots of the MAX. I didn't know any of the red striped ones were still running, especially without ads! I can't believe I forgot what the classic MAX looked like of the last decade. RDC is the model name.....DMU is the type of equipment (like EMU). Has absolutely nothing to do with specific design. Also, the modern DMU's (apart from NJTY's River Line and the like) are heavy-rail vehicles.....just like RDC's.
