Passenger Trains > 7-8 resume normal route

Effective today 2 Nov, trains 7-8 will resume its normal route through Grand Forks, DevilsLake and Rugby.

BNSF finished the necessary track work six days early.

Don't know how, they haven't dumped a single piece of ballast because it's frozen in the cars.

question,where does the sury cutoff start and end from the normal amtrak route?

just west of downtown surrey, nd and right in fargo, nd east of i-29 and south of 12th ave north. dave, out

And Surrey is the next station east of Minot, essentially just east of the Gavin Yard area.

If in fact the ballast was frozen in the hopper cars, wasn't it in fact a little late in the year in that part of the world to be doing this sort of work ?

Question: going west from Havre, does the train run the Prosper Sub to Nolan, or is it put back onto the KO Sub at West Havre?

Havre? Havre is in Montana.

Unless they can grow wings and get a helluva running jump, they aren't running via Devils Lake.

An oops. I meant to write going west from Fargo.

i don't think there is a connection back to the ko sub west of the depot and i would not think that they would back the train up through moorehead just to get back to the ko sub. so i would guess they would proceed on the prosper sub to nolan and then back to ko, but i am not up there to get eyes on the scene. dave, out.
