Does anyone have any photos of car interiors? this looks like a great travel experience. Check out www.travelpullman.com. I'm booked on the 12/12/12 sailing.

I worked as a car host on one of the TUT/GW Tours CP 2816 tours. Some of the coach passengers had "personal alcohol" in the form of a bottle of wine to go with the catered lunch. The train manager was very upset. Something to do with liquor licencing laws in BC. I wouldn't be surprised if certain US State have similar restrictions on the consumption of alcohol. Unless served by a qualified person (over 19, and having taken a "serving it right" exam thus assuming liability for serving an intoxicant),"personal alcohol" comes under the category of open liquor container in a public place, a misdemeanor in BC. Tourists, especially from the US sometimes get nailed for this for drinking alcohol on the sidewalk outside a hotel. A tolerant peace officer may simply ask you to stop, the odd keener will issue a ticket on the spot. Date: 11/26/12 17:16 Re: New Travel Pullman service reviews Author: lowwater eminence_grise Wrote:

As far as I know "personal alcohol" is prohibited on Amtrak trains except in sleeper rooms, presumably for the same reasons. |
