Passenger Trains > Amtrak #7/8 Reroute TodayDate: 11/28/12 08:24 Amtrak #7/8 Reroute Today Author: kevink Per report on the IlliniRail list, today's Amtrak trains 7 and 8 (Empire Builder) are using the BNSF Chicago Sub and Aurora Sub between Chicago, IL and LaCrosse, WI. #7 normally departs Chicago at 2:15 pm and today's #8 is due in Savanna, IL at 2:15 pm.

Both the NP's and GN's passenger trains used this former CB&Q line between Chicago and the Twin Cities.
