Passenger Trains > ACS-64 at speed on the California ZephyrDate: 06/30/13 21:35 ACS-64 at speed on the California Zephyr Author: Agent On June 29, I caught the new ACS-64 AMTK 602 on the California Zephyr pass through Agency, Iowa. The train looked to be making the most of the 79 mph speed limit. Using an older, disused camera, I decided to try filming the underside of the train too. It didn't work out that well. I also also included a slow motion version of that clip.

1) Coming around the bend. 2) A look at the decals on the side of 602. 3) Heading toward the green signal. The only regular instance on electric-as-cabcar operation I can think of was the ACES Atlantic City train - not sure dynamics were as important to that run as they probably are on the ex-D&RGW descending the Front Range.
