Amtrak 29 Inspection Special
Author: ddavies

Amtrak 29 went west past Shenandoah Junction, WV, with the new American View bringing up the markers, with plenty of suits aboard.

Looks like the train's make-up is reversed, with the transition/dorm against the theatre car, then the 2 sleepers ahead, then the diner, then the lounge. The coaches and baggage must be on the head-end.

Unless they had another transition/dorm up front, the only problem is that there's no access between the coaches and the baggage car, so the crew or station personnel have to open the baggage-car door from the outside.

Car looks nice. I think Amtrak will get a lot of good use out of this, both for Engineering and for politics.

I wonder if they have a second transition sleeper for this train too?

The suits might want to ride coach with no PILLOW. Like real passengers.

Lets see! I started train riding as a kid (sometimes even in wooden coaches-Milwaukee Road) Later graduated to troop trains with their luxurious first class accommodations (water with dinner instead of Bordeaux wine and cheese), and finished riding as a SUIT.

Cutboy2, do you mean that I forgot every experience from my previous incarnation?
