Passenger Trains > Looking for hotel- LaGrange, Ill.

Does anyone know of a hotel in LaGrange, Ill., (west of Chicago) on the x-CBQ "Race track"

Trying to find a hotel near the LaGrange-Main Street Metra stop.

I don't know of any accommodations walkable from the La Grange Metra station. La Grange's accommodations are all located about 3 miles south, around the intersection of La Grange Rd & Joliet Road (old Rt 66). There is a Colony Motel in Brookfield, about 3 blocks from the Congress Park station, that looks reasonably well cared for, but I can't personally vouch for it. Also, Congress Park is only served by a few weekday trains. Your best bet would probably be to take a cab from La Grange south to the Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn in Countryside, which is the actual address of the group of hotels @ La Grange & Joliet Rds.

Joe, as Mark says, there are no longer any hotels by the track. But the William Tell has a shuttle, it's about 3 miles.
