Date: 04/18/14 06:20 Re: 449 at MP67, Brookfield, MA Author: DavidP Before someone questions the sanity of Amtrak's power desk in assigning 12600HP to a five car train - which often happens when 448/9 are featured here - I'll point out that the Boston Lake Shore is Amtrak's preferred way to cycle power between the east end of the NEC and the Downeasters, and the rest of the system. Two units are most commonly assigned, running through BOS-CHI, but anything from one to three isn't all that unusual. Good pic in a good location by the way!
