Actually #174 took 31 min to make the Providence-Rte 128 run, normally 22-23 min.
Was he running on approach signals when you snapped him?

Nice shot!
Does anyone else think the front of these new motors look like something out of Thomas the tank engine?

To me they look like they're evil. But I like them! ;-)

From my vantage point, the signal for the north tracks were not visible. He was moving right along; window of opportunity was very short maybe 10-15 seconds. I heard him blow for passing the Mansfield station about a 1/4 mile before I took the shot. I fortunately was on a second story porch, which allowed to shoot above the fence.
