Passenger Trains > Trespasser Strike Davis CADate: 04/22/14 11:44 Trespasser Strike Davis CA Author: a6m20 The radio news is reporting a fatal trespasser strike west of Davis CA this morning that is affecting Capitol Corridor traffic. Probably may affect the EB Zephyr also.
Date: 04/22/14 13:33 Re: Trespasser Strike Davis CA Author: MarinCommuter There was also a trespass incident last night involving Train #547 near Richmond. That makes two on this route in about a 12-hour span.

I think the incident last night involved someone falling off #718 and (I think 715) found the body next to the tracks. Never the less, a rough 24 hours for the California Corridor trains. As far as on-time performance is concerned, if you think things are messed up NOW, wait until the oil trains start running to / from the refinery in Benicia. You actually think those oil trains will be allowed to run? Date: 04/22/14 19:02 Re: Trespasser Strike Davis CA Author: CA_Sou_MA_Agent PHall Wrote:

I guess it depends on how much grease is applied to the appropriate palms in Sacramento and Washington. Remember, we have the best government that money can buy! I received an email alert that train 547 was being held because of a trespass incident and presumed it was the train involved. I heard from crew members that the deceased apparently tried to ride on the outside of the train, fell off, and checked out permanently. Absolutely certain to happen within the next year. Date: 04/23/14 01:36 Re: Trespasser Strike Davis CA Author: coach MarinCommuter Wrote:

This is so amazingly idiotic. It's hard to believe, but I believe it. Sheer stupidity. One less dumb person now. |
