Passenger Trains > Who's New DMU? Rochelle, IL

Hi there,
On, 7/19/2014, I drove by Nippon-Sharyo's Rochelle, IL plant and shot this new DMU outside. I was wondering if any of you had any idea where it is heading to or any other details of it.

SMART (Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit) in California?

It looks like the paint scheme of the Union-Pearson shuttle that will operate in Toronto.

I believe the only two confirmed orders for the Nippon Sharyo DMU so far are for Toronto to Toronto Pearson Int'l. Airport(almost certainly the unit spotted yesterday as noted in previous post) and Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit.

The first two SMART units were built in Japan(as pictured below) with the balance to be assembled in Rochelle.

That is one nice looking Car.

Nippon Sharyo did a great job with LA Metro's Blue Line Cars.
The Blue Line Cars had have up for 24 years now
