Passenger Trains > San Joaquin Deja VueDate: 07/21/14 22:54 San Joaquin Deja Vue Author: CrudPunko For those of us who have been shooting the San Joaquin for a long time, seeing the new cabbage cars show up along with sets of single level Comet cars was like seeing a blast from the past, as illustrated by the second photo, taken by the late Rob Carlson of CalTrain F40PH-2 919 racing north on the Santa Fe through east Empire in 1990. Engineers hated this unit because it used blended braking. (© KPR Media Services, all rights reserved)
The first photo is of a current San Joaquin consist utilizing the unpowered cab car painted in the original CalTrain paint scheme. (© KPR Media Services, all rights reserved) Date: 07/21/14 23:38 Re: San Joaquin Deja Vue Author: ThumbsUp CrudPunko Wrote:
