Very Late #4
Author: fredstout

It would seem that Mondays #4 is running over 10 hours late. Most of that time appears to have been lost between Las Vegas and Raton. What happened?

Flooding, washouts, and lots of track inspections and slow orders required in the Raton/Wooton area.

Something happened at Raton station. According to Amtrak.com, it arrived at 6:20 pm and departed at 2:45 am?

Major monsoon-type flooding all over NE and central New Mexico. Usually dry ABQ has the rain gauge creeping towards 4 inches for July.

#4 left Dodge City Ks. about 1300 hrs. You on the east side of Toto land should get some good shots.

I agree, that sucks, and it looks like no. 3 did better than No. 4 through that area, looks like a very wet monsoon season up there!
