Thanks for the vid of 119 and 75 back to back. Nice long train for two old worn out P42's. Date: 08/16/14 11:07 Re: Photos Author: rombout137 Thanks guys, nice video

Marty Bernard Date: 08/16/14 13:01 Re: Empire Builder #8 in St. Paul, MN 8/16/2014 Author: czephyr17 I love the sound IN the station though, the cavernous echoing announcements and sounds of people talking. Sort of brings it to life.

The station is beautiful; a really nice rennovation. The light rail access is a bit awkward as it is a short walk outside, this is probably not good. It would have been expensive but it would have nice to someow have the light rail actually enter the station at street or track level. Given the site this probably might not work at all. Now, all the station needs is a lot of trains going all over the area!

Anyway, what you see on Google Earth is pretty close to what it actually is. The only difference is a switch on either side of the depot to the main. All the trackage is CTC dispatched by BNSF (even though it's on a CP main). I have pics which I will eventually upload to Flickr.
