The EB is getting all the publicity, but mile for mile, the LSL and CL are far worse. Date: 08/20/14 06:01 Re: No.49 the Late Shore Limited Late Arrivals into Chi Author: eliyahu i've got a trip in october on the LSL, connecting to the CZ in CHI. normally there's plenty of time to make that connection, but with the on-time performance of #49 lately, i'm not so sure anymore. i was hoping someone could point to something *specific* along the route that they knew of, such as track work, that had an end date. i know things are bad between chicago and porter -- but surely that can't explain all of the delay.

Track work on NS with many miles of temporary single track operation, might end a bit earlier. Send some lower priority freight off the Pennsy east of PGH that way.

At a concert Saturday night at our lake front park next to the tracks, we must have heard 2 dozen trains in a couple of hours. |
