Heads Up on big #49

When #49 passed the DED at Palatine Bridge, NY on TK 2, the detector reported 80 axles. That's 17 cars if he has three engines or 17 with two. Will look forward to a report from anyone who sees the train.

49 has 2 engines and 5 private cars today.

Private cars on rear are as follows...
Overland Trail (SP)
Palm Leaf (ATSF)
Pacific Sands (UP)
Salisbury Beach (BM)
Silver ?? (CBQ dome)

Four of those private cars are from LA Rail.com; the other is also LA based Palm Leaf. They are destined to Whitefish, Montana, and then on to Portland, then home to LA. fifth car Silver Splendor, was added at Albany.

When you got flat track, why have an extra unit! Saw those cars on No. 3 a few days later and No. 3 only had 2 since the 3RD they cut off at ABQ!
