Long Distance trains arrived at Chicago Union Station today, August 22, 2014 as follows:

#4 - 59 mins late.
#6 - Left Naperville 3 hrs, 38 mins late.
#8 – Left Columbus 4 hrs, 19 mins late.
#22 - 1 hr, 44 mins late.
#29 - 3 hrs, 7 mins late.
#49 - Left South Bend 8 hrs, 41 mins late.
#851 - 2 hrs, 43 mins late.
#58 - 32 mins late.

All trains departed their originating stations within 5 mins of on time, or, were on time at some point in their route.

# 49 finally arrived Chicago 6:34 pm rather than scheduled 9:45 am

So does this mean # 48 will leave Chicagoa round 1 am tomorrow or will reserve equipment
be available for a 9:30 pm departure ?

More depressing statistics, but the Capitol Corridor in California statistics below are pretty good. 96% on time! Good news and to the people running the operation, good job.

#48(22) currently expected to leave around midnight, about 2 hrs 30 mins late

Leave Chicago about midnight, arrive NYC about the same time next day. If only we could have one decent Chicago-east coast train. Doesn't look to happen anytime soon, if ever.

Amtrak #48 just passed by the Chesterton, Indiana webcam at 3:05 AM CDT.
