Amtrak 7 left Winona, MN tonight at 9:11 PM with BNSF "Snoqualmie Pass,"
BNSF "Topeka" and Amtrak "American View" carrying the markers. They
were roughly down about 1 hour and 20 minutes on their departure.

Joy is not a word I would use to describe my time on inspection trips. I have never been on one that was not all business. And unless you are the senior officer, you better board fully prepared. These are not like "entertain the customer" events and are serious business from start to finish. Both BNSF and Amtrak are experiencing problems on that route. I'm sure that is generating a lot of discussion on this particular trip.

I hope they stashed a LOT of food for the LONG trip. Food bought along the High Line is not exactly of delictable cuisine.

I had an excellent lunch from a cafe in Havre. Don't remember the name, but it was really good.

Thanks for the heads up. I just caught the three cars on #7 in Skykomish.

There were three guys sitting in the gallery of the American View and I bet they weren't eating AmChow.
