Vest pocket Surfliner

On Sunday afternoon, there was a short 3-car train sitting at the San Diego station with the following consist:

- Surfliner locomotive 460
- Surfliner business class
- Superliner I - Diner-Lounge
- Superliner I - Coach (in Surfliner colors)

Does anyone know why it was there and for what use?

This is the Del Mar block which gets added to standard train sets for busy del mar traffic. Typically seen on 768 and 591.
