That would seem kind of unusual that they would back the southbound Starlight into the Oakland coach yard to grab the PV's, instead of using a switcher to add the cars at Jack London. Date: 09/02/14 11:13 Re: Coast Starlight Leaves Oakland Around 9:25 On Labor Author: calzephyr48 Cannot add that many cars to the Starlight @ OKJ since the switcher would foul the control points at the station, resulting in a railroad traffic jam. Instead the train simply pulls (not backs) into the yard and a switcher applies the PV's. All was done and buttoned up in good time.
