At that time the car had a really tricked out interior. From the GM&O, the car passed into the hands of the Dortch family, Arkansas River bottom plantation owners, who on Sundays after church operated a couple ex-W. C. Carter Lbr. Co. locomotives from Camden, Texas. They later set up a still extant tourist railroad in Eureka Springs, AR. The 50 never made it to Eureka Springs, but spent some time parked in Fayetteville, AR, It was used as student housing for one of the family's sons. The son later traveled with the car as its resident mechanic/electrician/carman when it toured with subsequent owners.

Mr. Tigrett of the GM&O. He is the one that had the interior radically redecorated and also was involved in the Planet Hollywood franchise. |
