extra cars on #5
Author: wpjones

Todays #5 out of CHI should have five extra cars and one extra engine for Nebraska Football special out of OMA tomorrow. Should be two Amtrak coaches, One Amtrak Dinette and two Long Domes from IPH.
Look forward to seeing photos at MHTOWER or Agency IA
Also I will be on the train tomorrow so can't photo it. Looking for people to photo it from OMA to LNK on BNSF.
Supposed to start switch move from OMA Union station (UP) at 14:30 to transfer to BNSF.
Won't be a priority train so should be easy to chase.

Steve,

You know how they will make the switch over to BNSF. Will they push east over the bridge, then head west over the BNSF interchange?

Normal practice would be to back out of the ramp onto the Bridge far enough to cross to main two then thru the old transfer onto the BNSF.

Steve, I did manage to get it at "MH," front & rear. Posted a couple threads above.

Thanks, I did see that. Were all three Amtrak cars the same style?
