Passenger Trains > Southern Pacific Scoot ConsistsDate: 10/19/14 12:52 Southern Pacific Scoot Consists Author: superchief73 Gathering Research on The Scoot Circa 1950. Anyone have some equipment listings?

If so, this train carried a through Pullman and coach between SF and Grants Pass, and a cafe-lounge north (railroad east) of Dunsmuir. Presumably it also carried head end cars, maybe even an RPO. Through cars ran northbound on #14, the Beaver, southbound on #19, the Klamath. This from a 1948 Official Guide. Official name for #327/328 was the Shasta....guess that might not have been true after the inauguration of the Shasta Daylight in 1949, or was it 1950? AA

Besides the above mentioned Shasta, there was an Ashland to Portland overnight train, SP 329/330, the Rogue River. In addition, the Rogue River carried through cars for Coos Bay, added/removed at Eugene. AA
