The possible alignments from "THE TIDE" light rail line in Norfolk to the nearby NAVAL BASE have been narrowed down to SIX -- as seen on the MAP accompanying this LINK:

"....Hampton Roads Transit released a map showing six corridors that staff considered the most technically sound and the most preferred by the public among a host of possibilities that came out of prior workshops. The options still on the table include a corridor that runs by Old Dominion University and two that skirt Norfolk International Airport...."

UPCOMING PUBLIC HEARINGS ON THE PROPOSAL: The public meetings will involve a brief presentation and small group participation. They are scheduled for 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Tonight (10/20/14): Ted Constant Convocation Center at Old Dominion University, 4320 Hampton Blvd.

Thursday: Mary D. Pretlow Anchor Branch library, 111 W. Ocean View Ave.

Oct. 27: Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, 1401 Ballentine Blvd.

Oct. 30: Tidewater Community College, Norfolk Campus, Student Center, 5th floor, 300 Granby St.

The route to the west thru ODU seems the obvious choice, but I am willing to listen to the alternatives.
