Passenger Trains > Unusual San JoaquinDate: 10/20/14 15:43 Unusual San Joaquin Author: CrudPunko Not a real big deal but on September 30, 2014 I ran across this San Joaquin at the Modesto CA station stop with the power on the south end of the train rather than the north end. The north end had the Cabbage car Amtrak 90229. Ever since the San Joaquins went push-pull the power has always been on the north end.
Anyone know why this particular train had switched ends on this day? Date: 10/20/14 21:20 Re: Unusual San Joaquin Author: Mudrock Here is a shot from Friday running late through Shafter on San Joaquin 712. Mine had Cabbage Car 90218 on the south end so it could be the other set of equipment?
