Capitol from DC/power in sleeping cars

Would anyone know why, when the train is stopped for freight traffic (I think), the power to all but the hall lights in the sleeping car goes out for about 10-20 seconds before the train starts moving again? I don't recall ever experiencing this before.

Engineer puts the HEP in standby mode when you stop, puts it back to normal before you can move. Supposed to be done if you're gonna sit for more than 15 minutes.

Requiring a passport to go from PA to Ohio reminds me of stories from the 1930s when various law enforcement authorities tried to keep the "Okies" from migrating to California.

That is not the side of Pennsylvania that requires protection. The secure border is needed on the Delaware ...
