Secret Valley / Colebrookdale Railroad opens "unofficia
Author: Lackawanna484

The Secret Valley Line in the Pottstown PA area opened its tourist operations with a series of "soft" trips, intended to work out any operational issues before a full and widely advertised grand opening. I believe this is a former Pennsylvania Railroad branch.

Station and start point is in Boyertown

Uhm...

"They were treated to a two-hour ride in a train used
in 1869 through a valley of scenic fall foliage"

Maybe not. Never the less, lol:

It is the former Reading Colebrookdale Branch. The GP9 that they are using is former PRR.

Looks like the inept writer doesn't know the difference between the "train" and the line it travels on...i.e. "railroad."

Here's a big congratulations to Nathaniel Guest and his crew who have worked so hard to get this long neglected gem of a branch line back into service. It has some of the prettiest scenery of any of the branches in the Northeast and that coupled with the professionalism shown to date should make it a big success.

May it see steam sooner than later !!!

Good luck. Ross Rowland
