Full consist of 29/30 returns
Author: Ptolemy

Not previously reported on TO is that last night was the beginning of the restoration of the full consist of 29/30, which happened on schedule, and can be viewed on the Sand Patch camera (two units, 10 cars). At least Amtrak did something at the time it said it would do it.

Probably need it right now anyway due to the snowstorm cancellations and misconnects in general.

Also, most likely due to uptick in space sold for Thanksgiving holiday.

Today's P030 passes Q276 at Hobbs, WV. Actually had one more car than normal, 52 axles, normal is 48.

Looks like the 29/30 is into the higher fare buckets for the 1 bedroom, limited coach space on the 25th and 26th out of DC.

Good for the company!

The Capitol Limited has been carrying a lot of would-be Lake Shore Limited passengers between Cleveland and Chicago........and for those that are travelling from say NYC or even New England to the Midwest are likely resorting to this train. I was onboard a few months ago and there were at least five passengers from New England or NYC that were taking the Capitol Limited over the Lake Shore due to sold out conditions on the Lake Shore (westbound).
