Still in West Virginia, though, unless there's been a recent border war that got overwhelmed by news coverage of Deflategate and ISIS terrorism. Date: 01/28/15 20:53 Re: P030 Hancock WV Author: chakk Hancock is still in Maryland. But across the Potomac River from Hancock is Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. So perhaps the thread title should be "P030 Berkeley Springs, WV"?
Date: 01/29/15 06:50 Re: P030 Hancock WV Author: ChessieSystem Originally known as Brosius, WV but later changed to Hancock, WV in 1948 due to its location on the B&O mainline across the river from Hancock, Maryland.
Another tidbit, the MD state line is on the south side of the Potomac. Berkeley springs is further south. JW Date: 01/29/15 16:43 Re: P030 Hancock WV Author: Sick_Puppy Thanks JW, didn't want to explain all that again. Going to make the run from there to Paw Paw in a couple of weeks to see just what's changed. Tom
