Amtrak Cascades Schedule Changes? No Service to Eugene?

I read on another website that the new Amtrak national timetable will not have the Cascades schedule included in it because there are changes happening with the Cascades train schedules.  In addition, AORTA (Association of Oregon Rail and Transit Advocates) has made a post on their Facebook page that the State of Oregon wants to cancel all train service between Portland and Eugene.

Anyone have any further info?

No, they don't exactly WANT to cancel the trains on the Brooklyn Sub.  It's like everything else relative to Amtrak:  money.  No funding=no passenger trains.
