Author: DNRY122 The Blue Line and the Expo Line share a terminal at 7th & Flower in downtown LA. They diverge at Washington Blvd. (where the LATL "W" car ran in ancient times) and the Expo continues south on Flower St. to the USC area, where it follows the Pacific Electric Santa Monica Air Line route to Culver City. By this time next year, Expo trains should be running all the way to Santa Monica.

Expo Line service in both directions was cut, and firefighters were warned a half hour after the crash that the train line’s overhead power supply could not be immediately cut off. The train’s electric arms had been retracted but firefighters were warned that low voltage batteries might still be a hazard, firefighters were told.” |
