Passenger Trains > Amtrak "Lake Shore Limited" train no. 49; delayed departure NYPDate: 03/28/15 21:55 Amtrak "Lake Shore Limited" train no. 49; delayed departure NYP Author: Narollah Saturday* (03/28/'15): The Amtrak, Lake Shore Limited, train no. 49 had engine trouble right at the starting point; (NYP) New York Penn Station. Head car was removed and an entirely different engine was switched in. This action caused Amtrak train no. 49 to depart from N.Y.P. at 19:20 (7:20 pm). No. 49 is (was) scheduled to depart at 15:40 (3:40 pm) Today's* departure was 3 hrs. & 48 min. late.

The conventional diesel would not be a common item at Penn/Sunnyside.
