The 37000 series are the "Cross Country Cafe" conversions of 38000 diners, in this particular case 37009 was converted from 38005. They're the normal dining car on both the Texas Eagle and the City of New Orleans, which thankfully got their sightseer lounges back. Where did they all come from? A cancelled train? Date: 03/30/15 12:19 Re: Supersized Texas Eagle 22(29) Author: GP25 I think 3 or 4 of those Cars are from the HF.
They are just sending the Cars back for Service? I do not know if they can do any kind of servicing or work on the equipment in Ft Worth. Sounds like it has something to do with this: http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?4,3695684 Likely to have been some special group move on 521/522 this past weekend. Dave Date: 03/31/15 21:35 Re: Supersized Texas Eagle 22(29) Author: Pioneer2526 I was on a diner lite when it was replacing the PPC on the starlight. Very nice upstiars, I was able to see the down stairs, suprising that they kept the entire kitchen intact.
