By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS APRIL 15, 2015, 7:50 PM A crane struck a concrete pedestrian bridge on Wednesday afternoon just before rush hour, sending part of the span crashing onto commuter train tracks, officials said. Luckily, no one was on the bridge and no trains — which run by as often as every 6 minutes during rush hour — were barreling through. No one was hurt. The bridge spans four Metro and MARC rail tracks in the Maryland town of Berwyn Heights, just outside Washington, The Washington Post reported. Full story: Pedestrian Bridge Falls Onto Train Tracks MARC is operating normally this morning.
