I will ride the new train.

It's not clear why negotiations between INDOT and IPH are taking so long.  If there's no agreement by June 30, funding might just dry up..

It's not negotiations between IPH and INDOT, those are basically finished. 

But there is a long list of "FRA deliverables" that all parties are working through diligently, and everyone wants to get it right.  I think all parties (FRA, Amtrak, INDOT, and IPH) are working well together at this point.

You may not believe this, but they are actually being helpful.  As one of my friends said, "the pigs are on the runway, they may have even taken off by now...."

Actually, the reason for the delay is good advertising for IP and the new HS: that there will be food service, unlike today's Penn Central coach hop;.

Oh yeah, they're awesome, that's why it always takes them forever to troubleshoot deailrments for crying out loud!

They get it right. When something is obvious a preliminary report is issued quickly ... if they find something that needs immediate release they move quickly. But the full report is well thought out and complete. Not a quick response, the right response to the question of "how did this happen"?
