Beautiful photo (on the Nostalgia and History page), but my comment is more appropriate for the Passenger Trains page:  Maybe Amtrak can follow Santa Fe's lead and assign one locomotive for each two (nearly) cars on their long distance trains. That would certainly satisfy some of our members.

not when Amtrak's locomotives have almost three time the horsepower that these old soldiers have!

It made its last run on my second year of seniorty date on the SP.  Hard to believe that much time has passed.
